Habitat
Protection
and
Restoration |
We work with land owners
and community planners to secure the protection of important bird
habitats in the Missoula valley and surrounding areas, such as the
Clark Fork River - Grass
Valley area. Our projects also include science-based wetland and grassland
habitat restoration. |

Public
Policy |
Many local and national
programs aimed at saving birds, other wildlife and their habitat are
regularly in jeopardy. As Audubon's constituency, our members urge
lawmakers and public officials to do more to protect our environment.
We actively respond to conservation issues through letters, e-mail,
telephone calls and visits with our lawmakers. |

Chapter
Programs |
Our monthly chapter
programs, held Sepember through June, are free and open to the public.
We share bird sightings and general updates about our birding
activities. Programs include presentations by experts on topics
relating to birds, other wildlife, habitat and conservation. Check our
calendar for dates and topics of upcoming chapter programs. |

Adopt-A-
Highway
Program |
We participate in this
program, sponsored by the Montana Department of Transportation, by
cleaning two miles of highway near Frenchtwon. Volunteers join forces
on several Saturdays throughout the year to collect litter in this
area. Interesting discoveries make this a fun project. |
